Questions?

If I order a copy of a church record and it turns out it isn't for my ancestor, but a different person with the same name, can I get a refund?

Because there is no product to be returned to Germany Church Records for resale, we do not offer refunds. We try to keep the per record cost low and to provide you with the maximum amount of information in the church record indexes without giving away all of our hard work for free. The decision to view and therefore order a copy of the church record is entirely yours, and we cannot absorb the costs if the individual  does not turn out to be one you were seeking. We suggest you refine your search further or contact us about performing more detailed research for you at an affordable hourly rate.

Do you have a privacy policy?
Any information that you provide to us during your order will remain private.   We will not sell your information. And, to further protect the living, we will not be publishing any event after the year 1900 in our indexes.

Disclaimer:
Even though every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of our church record extractions, the authors assume no liability for errors. When possible, illegible names were compared against other records, but because old handwriting is sometimes difficult to read and many records have faded over time, errors may exist.  And, the parish priests and pastors who recorded the original documents made errors.  We suggest that all researchers study the original church records themselves and make their own decisions about the information, and to supplemnet their own conclusions with additional genealogy research.  We do not guarantee that the information distributed on this web site is correct or true.
